Glass Records welcomes metalcore band SHINSEINA to the family.
A five-piece metalcore band from Singapore, SHINSEINA have spent the past few years carving out their own interpretation of a genre they clearly love. While rooted firmly in metalcore, the band isn’t interested in treating the genre as a fixed formula. Melodic, progressive and experimental elements find their way into their songwriting, creating a sound that moves between aggression, melody and atmosphere while staying true to the core of metalcore.
That spirit is perhaps best summed up by the band’s own “Make Metalcore Great Again” ethos — a tongue-in-cheek rallying cry that reflects their genuine enthusiasm for the genre and their desire to push it forward in their own way.
Their momentum began to build with the release of their debut EP, Hell and Wonder, a hostile and melodic release that established the band’s sound. It was followed by a milestone in 2025, when SHINSEINA were selected for Baybeats’ Budding Programme, placing them among a new generation of artists being given a platform at one of Singapore’s most established alternative music festivals.
They went on to perform at Baybeats 2025, opening the Arena stage on 30 October at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre. Their appearance was also highlighted by local media for their progressive take on metalcore, with descriptions pointing to their combination of polyrhythmic instrumentation, synth elements and melodic songwriting.
Now, SHINSEINA enter their next chapter with Glass Records.
We’re excited to work alongside a band that understands where its roots are while remaining willing to experiment beyond them. The next phase will see SHINSEINA continue developing their sound, writing new material and building on the momentum they’ve created so far.
There’s plenty more to come.
Welcome to Glass Records, SHINSEINA.
